Accessibility statement
Last reviewed: 19 September 2026
ComplyScan tests websites for accessibility, so our own site has to meet the standard we measure others by. This statement says where we stand, how we know, and what we haven't done yet.
Our standard
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA on the public website (English and Hungarian) and on the signed-in dashboard and reports. The European standard EN 301 549, which underpins the European Accessibility Act, refers to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
How we test
- Automated: we run axe-core, the same engine ComplyScan uses on customers' sites, against every type of page we have — home, pricing, sign-up and sign-in, guides, legal pages, contact, dashboard and site reports — in light and (where a page has one) dark theme and at 375, 768 and 1280 px widths, using its WCAG 2.0–2.2 A and AA rules plus its best-practice rules. At the last run, on 19 September 2026, it reported no violations.
- We also check what axe can't: the contrast of text over gradient backgrounds, the declared language of Hungarian pages, and that pages reflow without horizontal scrolling at 375 px.
Automated tools can't judge everything — for example whether alternative text is meaningful or the reading order makes sense — so a clean automated result is not proof of full conformance.
What we haven't done yet
- An independent accessibility audit.
- Systematic testing with screen readers and other assistive technology, with people who use them every day.
We'll update this statement when that changes.
Known limitations
- The Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy are currently available in English only.
- PDF compliance reports are generated English-language documents; we haven't tested them with assistive technology yet.
- Email notifications are checked with axe-core, but not in every email client.
- Checkout and the billing portal are hosted by Stripe and are outside our control.
